Lola Plus The Boys Youth Clothing with Drawstrings Recall Class Action Lawsuit

Lola Plus The Boys Youth Clothing with Drawstrings Recall Class Action Lawsuit sue liable incident lawyer attorney

On February 5, 2026, Lola Plus The Boys issued a recall for their Lola + The Boys Youth Clothing with Drawstrings. According to the recall, number 26-240, the drawstrings on the affected clothing can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children due to the risk of strangulation. Further, the clothes violate federal standards regarding children’s upper outerwear and present a significant product risk.

The recall affects approximately 620 units of the product. More specifically, five different styles of clothing are affected. The affected styles include

    • Candy Heart Tie Dye set: this consists of pink and white pants and a sweatshirt with a heart on the front. Both items have a yellow drawstring with beads.
    • Hoodie Unicorn Tutu set: this set consists of a rainbow organza skirt and a purple hoodie sweatshirt with a unicorn on the front.
    • Justice League Hero hoodie: this is a gray hoodie with a front pocket and superhero decals on the right sleeve.
    • Emoji Love Hoodie: this is a white sweatshirt with a front pocket and three smiley emojis also on the front.
    • Crystal Rainbow Rain hoodie: this is a gray hoodie with a front pocket and drawstrings with rainbow-colored beads at both ends.

The affected clothing was sold in youth sizes 1 through 12. The brand name “Lola + The Boys” and the size are printed on the neck label.

The recalled clothing was sold from November 2022 through September 2025 at Lola Plus The Boys stores nationwide and at Lolaandtheboys.com for prices ranging between $45 and $80.

According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported. Still, the company is urging affected consumers to take the clothing away from children, remove the drawstrings to eliminate the risk, and contact them for a full refund (the company is requiring consumers to send a photo of the clothing without a drawstring along with additional information).

However, if your child was harmed, it is important that you do not agree to a refund. Instead, you should seek legal help as soon as possible from an experienced recall lawyer as you could have the right to file a claim. For more information about the legal options available to you, contact the team here at Normandie Law Firm as soon as possible.

    The Injuries that May Occur

As briefly mentioned above, the drawstrings on the affected clothing can get caught in things, posing a strangulation risk. These drawstrings can get caught in practically anything, from playground equipment, vehicle doors, bedroom doors, etc. No matter where the drawstrings get caught, the strangulation risk is present. In severe cases, this can lead to death. In non-fatal incidents, injuries can still potentially be serious. The lack of oxygen caused by strangulation can lead to unconsciousness and even permanent brain damage. Trauma may also occur, which may include swelling of the windpipe, airway obstruction, etc. Psychological harm, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more may also occur.
