Kitosun Submersible LED Lights Recall Class Action Lawsuit

Kitosun submersible LED Lights Recall Class Action Lawsuit lawyer attorney

On February 5, 2026, Kitosun issued a recall for their Submersible LED Lights. According to the recall, number 26-246, the recalled lights violate the mandatory standards for products containing button cell batteries or coin batteries, since they contain lithium coin batteries easily accessible by children. Therefore, the product poses an ingestion risk. In addition, the product does not have the warnings required under Reese’s Law. When button cell batteries or coin batteries are swallowed or ingested, serious injuries can occur, including internal chemical burns and death.

The recall affects approximately 8,100 units of the product.

The Kitosun Submersible LED Lights include 10 color-changing lights, two remote controls, 20 pre-installed CR2450 lithium batteries (in the lights) and 4 pre-installed CR2032 lithium batteries (in the remote controls). Each LED light measures about 3.5 cm in diameter.

The LED lights were sold on Amazon.com from March 2024 through November 2025 for about $23.

According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported.

The company is urging all affected consumers to immediately stop using the recalled lights and contact then for instructions on disposing the product and obtaining a refund.

However, if your child was harmed as a result of the defective LED lights, it is important that you seek legal help as soon as possible. You could have the right to file a lawsuit and recover monetary compensation. To ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the legal options available to you, contact a recall lawyer as soon as possible.

Understanding the Injuries that Could Occur

If the batteries in the recalled LED lights are ingested by a child, catastrophic injuries can occur. If the battery comes lodged in the esophagus, the saliva and battery can create an electric current that could ultimately lead to internal burns even necrosis; this is severe and can happen in just two hours.

In summary, the harm that could occur as a result of battery ingestion could include the following:

    • Ulcers, burns, perforations, narrowing, and scarring of the esophagus
    • Airway injuries, including vocal chord paralysis and injuries to the trachea
    • Vascular injuries, including erosion into the blood vessels, potentially leading to internal bleeding
    • Collapsed lungs
    • Inflammation of the chest cavity
    • And more

Some of the initial symptoms to look out for include gagging, drooling, difficulty swallowing, difficulty eating, noisy breathing, coughing, wheezing, chest pain, abdominal pain, irritability, fever, vomiting, blood in saliva, blood in stool, and/or blood in vomit. In many cases, these initial symptoms can be mistaken for common childhood illnesses, including cold and flu.

    • Seek medical attention immediately
    • Take photos of any visible injuries
    • Take photos of the defective product
    • Contact the company to report the incident and the harm that occurred
    • Never agree to return the product, to a replacement, or to a refund
    • Speak to any witnesses and collect their contact information
    • Gather any video footage that captured the incident
    • Gather all medical records
    • Gather all records of lost wages, if appropriate
    • Seek the guidance of a recall lawyer

Is there a Class Action Lawsuit?

Because the recall is so recent and there has not been any reported incidents or injuries, there is no class action claim yet. However, a claim can be filed at any point. In general, class actions and mass torts are common when it comes to defective products. Can I join a class action lawsuit? Yes, if there isn’t already a claim, your claim could be the first to start the class action. How can I join or be a part of a class action lawsuit on this case if one already exists? In general, joining can be as simple as reaching out to a class action lawyer.
