On Febrary 5, 2026, Dresbe issued a recall for their Dresbe LED Christmas Headbands. According to the recall, number 26-249, the recalled headbands violate mandatory safety standards related to button cell and coin batteries. The batteries in the headbands are easily accessible to children, which results in an ingestion risk. In addition, the packaging and product do not have the required warnings. When button/cell batteries are swallowed, the batteries can cause serious injuries, which can include internal chemical burns as well as death.
The recall affects approximately 250 units of the product.
The headbands were sold as part of a two-pack (one red headband with candy cane attachments and a green headband with a Christmas tree attachment). The headbands contained three button cell batteries to power the LED lights. The affected headbands have “HB-052” and “DRESBE LED Christmas Headband (2pc)” printed on a label on the packaging.
The headbands were sold on Amazon.com from March 2024 through June 2025 for approximately $13 each.
According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
The company is urging all affected consumers to stop using the recalled headbands and immediately contact them for information on proper disposal of the product.

Symptoms of battery ingestions can include drooling, gagging, difficulty swallowing, difficulty eating, coughing, wheezing, noisy breathing, chest pain, abdominal pain, fever, irritability, vomiting, or blood in saliva, stool, or vomit.
