On February 19, 2026, Vive Health issued a recall for their Bed Rails. According to the recall, number 26-271, the recalled bed rails violate mandatory safety standards for adult portable bed rails because, when the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped either within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment risk and risk of death by asphyxiation. Additionally, the bed rails do not have the required waring labels.
The recall affects approximately 12,355 units of the product.
The recall includes model LVA1024 and LVA3031BLK of the Vive Health Bed Rails. The LVA1024 model of the bed rail comes in a white frame with a black handle and measures 20 inches wide by 32 inches tall. The LVA3031BLK model of the bed rail comes in a black frame with a black handle and measures 13 inches wide by 18 inches tall.
The affected bed rails were sold via ViveHealth.com and Amazon.com from August 2023 through December 2025 for prices ranging from $45 and $80. Only bed rails purchased after August 21, 2023 are included in the recall.
According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
The company is urging all affected consumers to stop using the recalled bed rails and contact them for a refund. They are also providing instructions on how to dispose of the product and submit proof to obtain a refund.
