Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights Recall Class Action Lawsuit

Prismatic 3D Prints Book Nooks with Lights Recall Class Action Lawsuit lawyer attorney sue compensation

On February 19, 2026, Prismatic 3D Prints issued a recall for their Book Nooks with Lights. According to the recall, number 26-276, the recalled book nooks violate mandatory safety standards for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because the product contains a spare battery that is easily accessible by children. Additionally, the spare coin battery is not in child-resistant packaging, and the packaging does not have the necessary warnings as required by law. When either button cell batteries or coin batteries are swallowed, serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death may occur.

The recall affects approximately 1,770 units of the product.

The affected product is a bookshelf decoration designed to be placed in between books. They come in three designs: Fantasy Window, Gothic Cathedral Window, and Gothic Cathedral Window Set of Three. They were sold in multiple frame/window colors. Available frame colors included pewter, antique gold, black granite, white marble, and black. Available window colors included purple, red, green, yellow, and blue. The base of the book nooks has a circular recess behind the window that holds the spare CR2032 coin cell batteries. The words “extra battery” is embedded in the plastic in this recess.

The recalled book nooks were sold online via Etsy.com from March 2025 through October 2025 for prices ranging between $25 and $72.

According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported.

Affected consumers are being urged to stop using the recalled book nooks immediately, remove the batteries, and place them in an area inaccessible to children. Consumers are also urged to contact the company for instructions on receiving a free repair kit, which will include a part to permanently cover the spare battery holder along with the necessary installation instructions.

If your child was harmed, however, it is important that you do not simply agree to a free repair kit. Instead, you should explore the legal options that are available to you. You could have the right to file a product liability lawsuit with the help of a recall lawyer. For more information about the legal options available to you, reach out to the team here at the Normandie Law Firm as soon as possible.

    Understanding the Possible Injuries

Button cell batteries and coin batteries can result in catastrophic harm if ingested. A battery can become lodged in the esophagus. When the battery comes into contact with saliva, it can create an electric current that could lead to internal burns and necrosis in as little as two hours. Overall, these incidents could lead to the following: injuries of the esophagus, such as ulcers, burns, perforations, narrowing, and scarring; injuries of the airways, such as vocal cord paralysis and trachea injuries; vascular injuries, like blood vessel erosion which could cause internal bleeding; collapsed lungs; chest cavity inflammation; and more. Unfortunately, some of the symptoms that occur because of ingestion of these batteries can be mistaken for common childhood illnesses, like cold and flu. Some of these symptoms can include drooling, gagging, difficulty swallowing, difficulty eating, noisy breathing, wheezing, coughing, chest pain, abdominal pain, irritability, vomiting, fever, blood in saliva, blood in stool, and blood in vomit.

No matter the specific harm that your child suffered, it is important that you understand that you could have the right to file a claim.
