    The Settlement Process

Settling a claim does not happen overnight. So how much time does ATTIC, RRG take to make payment on a truck accident case? The amount of time that ATTIC, RRG is going to take to reach a settlement for an eighteen-wheeler accident depends entirely on the legal process. In order for a settlement to be reached, the following must occur (and we really want to stress that it is not an overnight process):

    • You have to complete the medical process your doctor recommends. We have a network of experienced medical doctors we will recommend for your treatment. These doctors deal with the injuries associated with truck accidents. You must finish your medical treatment so that your lawyer has access to the complete record. The total cost of your medical treatment is included in this record, and has a direct influence on the overall value of your truck accident case.
    • Your attorney will draft and send a demand package to the insurance company. The demand package is a file that contains every detail and fact about your case. It details the events of the accident as it unfolded, your information, medical history, and more.
    • The insurance company will review your claim and launch an investigation. ATTIC, RRG will receive the claim and review the demand package your attorney sent. It will then make a decision regarding the validity of your claim and launch an independent investigation. After the investigation, the insurance company will either accept or deny liability.
    • The insurance company will make an offer. If the insurance company accepts liability, it will then make us an offer. Unlike the Godfather, however, the first offer will be an offer we can easily refuse; the offer will be unreasonably low. As stated previously, ATTIC, RRG may be an insurance company but it is a business in the USA. That means it will do anything to save money, even screw over its clients. After all, you’re merely a number to them. We will then begin negotiations with the company, and continue back and forth until a settlement is reached.
    • Client must sign the release form. After months of negotiating and a successful compensation offer, ATTIC, RRG will send a settlement release form. Insurance companies require that claimants sign a settlement release that releases the insurance company of liability. In other words, you waive your right to take them to court after you accept the compensation. After signing the form, ATTIC, RRG will send a check to our office.
    • Attorneys take their fees. We provided you legal counsel and will take our share of the pie. (This will have been established before you contract us as your lawyers.) The remaining amount will go to you!

And so, how long does this process usually take? How long do you have to wait for ATTIC, RRG to settle a semi-truck accident case? The amount of time it takes to settle an eighteen-wheeler depends on the process we listed above. Each point will take its own time. For example, the first three steps could take several months, while the last three may take well over a year. It could take the insurance company an entire month to go over the demand package. The negotiation process will likely take the longest time. (As we said, they will do anything to save money.) After you agree to the settlement, it may take six to eight weeks until you have access to the funds.

On Average, How Long Does it Take to Settle a Claim?

How long do truck accident cases with ATTIC, RRG insurance to settle? As we’ve stated, the amount of time it will take to settle a claim will depend on the legal processes. On average, however, the amount of time it will take to settle a truck accident claim will be two years.
