My nephew had an accident in a chevy cobalt 06 the car was total loss thank god there was no deaths but it can have been worse because of how the car looked none of the airbags opened there was only little concussions what can i do about this

We own a 2006 Cobolt that has had problems . The car has already had several recalls and now more? And even a more serious recall? We expericened the ignition problem and currently the dealer can not do anything until the parts come in. Although we have had no accidents from these problems it is troubling to think that could have happened anytime! Now what really bothers me is with all these recalls the value of the car would almost be worthless, how do do you trade in or sell such a vehicle now? How many Cobolt owners are facing the same the same thing? Should GM be resonsonable for this as well?
