Former San Francisco Teacher, Coach Accused of Sexually Assaulting Students

Our law firm is currently investigating sexual allegations against a former SF teacher.

In San Francisco, a former Bay Area high school coach has been accused of sexually assaulting his students. It has also come out that the administrators at the school, looked the other way, allowing the alleged conduct to go on.

According to reports, over two dozen female students at John O’Connell High School, have come forward to accuse Bob Gamino, a physical education teacher, and soccer coach, for his inappropriate behavior. Documents have been released that show school administrators knew that this conduct was ongoing for two years, yet did nothing about it.

Former captain of San Francisco, John O’Connell High School girls soccer team, Alysha Stone said that just before graduating last May, she reported her Coach for sexual assault. According to multiple reports from Stone, on multiple occasions, Coach Gamino made suggestive comments as well as performed lewd physical acts against her and her classmates.

Gamino was a teacher in the San Francisco School District for 23 years, and for a majority of his time in the district was a P.E teacher, soccer coach, and athletic director. The district later put Gamino on administrative leave while they launched an internal investigation regarding these accusations. Documents retrieved from the district confirmed that 30 girls came forward to report on Gamin’s verbal or physical harassment that year. Often upper classmen warned the incoming student athletes about Gamino before the abuse took place.

These documents also showed that the school was aware of Gamino’s behavior two years ago, yet did nothing to remedy the issue.
