I’ve been on Abilify for years. I’ve spent over 50000 on lottery scratch tickets, 4500 just in the past 2 months on a onlinecasino, and 30,000 on a porn site. The compulsion to act on these “addictions” are uncontrollable. I also just lost my job from being late, cause I was gambling. Pathetic, I know!! But geez, I could use a little help

I have yet to have heard of the ravaging affects that Abilify has caused to one’s life as what the drug has clearly done to me and my family. I resided approximately 20 minutes from Foxwoods Casino located in Southeastern CT. This casino opened in 1986 and would frequent the facility on many occasions for casual gambling but is was clearly entertainment and easily documented from the casino records. I always used my players card and have never visited any other casino in my lifetime. My total losses since their opening until 2014 were in the proximity of $20,000. I would have a sleepless night if I lost $500. I was prescribed this drug February of 2013 as a “booster” to my other antidepressants I was taking. In November of that same year the dosage was doubled. From 2014 to October 31st of 2016 my gambling losses climbed to an enormous amount of over $900,000. I actually lived in the casino and was provided a luxury suite with complete room service “on the house.” I met young females who I had sex with and sometimes with multiple partners. These girls were able to smoke crack cocaine that I quickly started buying on a very frequent basis. I didn’t even know what this was until then. I actually rarely drank alcohol, never mind ingesting such a powerful, addictive drug. On October 9th I was removed from my room by ambulance because of an overdose. I was on life support for 3 days and hospitalized for 7 days. I then was released and returned to the casino and was welcomed with another luxury suite. Although I stopped taking any illicit drugs except for my prescribed medications which included Abilify. I just found it impossible to get off the black jack table. It didn’t take any longer then October 31st when my family was able to close all accounts in which I had accsess to my funds and was once again removed from my suite for suicidal tendencies and was taken to a addiction and mental health facility where I lived for about a month. During this stay, they were not aware of my Abilify medication and unknowingly by me, I was not taking it. I’ve never taken it since and haven’t been to nor have had any urge to return to a casino. I also haven’t used any illicit drugs or have touched not even a single drop of alcohol since. I’m in ongoing counseling on a weekly basis and have developed a miriad of physical medical complications. Ive be been determined to be totally disabled to perform the duties of my regular occupation as a financial advisor earning between $250k to $400k annually. It was my sole profession for 34 years. My disability check is approximately $2300 per month and have been able to receive $1000 to $2000 per month whenever possible from my business which my son has managed to keep going. I’ve lost my beautiful wife of 34 years, one of my daughters and my 4 year old only grandson who I haven’t had any communication with since this incident. My siblings have also turned their backs on me and refuse to even have me attend any holiday family gatherings. In my divorce my wife was given nearly all my assets in addition to alimony of $3750 per month. This was reduced from $8000 just 3 months when the finalized my divorce which includes 50% of any potential settlements that may arise out of this lawsuit. This doesn’t represent many other losses I have encountered including my depression and anxiety which has severely worsened. ABILIFY, the prescription drug that has totally destroyed my entire life.

I took Ability for like 2 and a half almost 3 years. I've experienced about everything you just named above. Even, almost lost my wife and family. I talked with a lawyer and explained all this to him. I still even have a bottle or two because I stopped taking it once I seen the commercial about its effects. I contacted a lawyer and I'm not sure if he took my case or not because I never heard anything back verifying anything. But if you can help me it would be appreciated. I'm also a U.S Army veteran.

I just knew it...it was inevitable that Ability would sooner or later give terrible consequences to those of us taking it....
I've been on and off of it for almost 15 yrs....
At first it didn't seem to affect me in any way accept for extreme lethargy...bad!!!
I then started to notice the obvious weight gain..and the facial puffiness that goes along with it..and then my addictive personality was adding another dimension into this equation,Shopping, shopping shopping.....ive maxed out my cards, borrow payday loans to shop, etc...and in the past five years I have gained 60 lbs...over my time on Ability it's about a total of 100 lbs....
But when u don't take it my life just spirals down so fast....i think I'm ready to get some legal advice on this....
