How To Obtain A Traffic Collision Report from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office

To obtain a traffic accident police report from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, you can submit a request in person at 1350 Norris Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308 during hours of operation—Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must present valid photo identification like a driver’s license, passport, resident alien card, or school ID. Only parties involved in the accident can request copies of the accident report. This includes drivers, passengers, parents or guardians of minors involved, owners of damaged property, insurance companies, and legal representatives.
