On February 12, 2026, Surveying Accessories Cheaper issued a recall for their Columbia-themed Magnetic Board Games. According to the recall, number 26-265, the recalled board games violate the mandatory standard for toys because they contain magnetic game pieces with loose high-powered magnets, which poses an ingestion hazard to children. When these high-powered magnets are swallowed, the magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can cause perforations, twisting, and blockage of the intestines, as well as blood poisoning and death.
The recall affects approximately 1,200 units of the product.
The affected Colombia-themed magnetic board games consist of a two-sided board with a storage bag, 32 multi-colored magnetic pieces, two dice, and one storage pouch. The original packaging included a piece of chocolate. The Spanish phrase “Colombia que linda eres” is printed on the game board. “Cositas Colombianas” is printed on the front of the storage box. Only the four- and six-player versions of the board games are affected by the recall.
The affected board games were sold from April 2023 through June 2025 for prices ranging from $20 to $50 via Amazon.com as well as at Centro Envios Aventura in Miami, Florida.
According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
Affected consumers are being urged to immediately stop using the recalled product and take them away from children. Consumers are also being urged to return the board game to the company using a prepaid shipping label for a full refund.
