Bestar Wall Bed Recall Class Action Lawsuit

Bestar Wall Bed Recall Class Action Lawsuit lawyer product liability sue compensation hazard risk

On April 7, 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on Bestar wall beds. The recall was based on multiple incidents of wall beds detaching and falling on top of customers. The most serious accident occurred in 2018, when a 79-year old woman died after a Bestar wall bed fell on her.

Approximately 129,000 beds are affected by this recall, including the Nebula, Versatile, PUR, Cielo, Edge, Audria, Lumina, Novello, and Orion Queen and Full size beds. These beds were sold through Wayfair.com, Amazon.com, Costco.com, and Cymax.com.

Customers have been asked to stop using their bed immediately and contact the company for a refund or a free reinstallation. However, you should not consider either of these options if you or a loved one was injured by this product. Instead, contact a personal injury lawyer to learn about your rights and legal options.

    • Deep lacerations
    • Loss of function in fingers and limbs

    What You Can Do

As an injury victim, you may have cause to sue Bestar for the damages you’ve suffered. Injured customers should take the following steps:

    • Take photos of your injuries, the scene of the accident, and the defective product.
    • Do not attempt to fix the bed yourself, since that could lead to further injury.
    • Report the accident to the company. However:
      • Don’t settle for a refund.
      • Do not agree to have the bed reinstalled.
      • Do not agree to return the product.
    • Gather any evidence, like statements from witnesses or video footage of the accident.
    • Collect documentation that shows your losses, like medical reports and proof of lost income.
    • Speak to a product recall lawyer as soon as possible.
